THE FACT ABOUT UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA

Unemployment is a critical issue which lead youths to become what they did not plan.

The term unemployment referring to an individuals who are seeking for job but are unable to find it. Many Nigeria youth are facing this challenges either from the government, companies, or self incompetency.

in Nigeria today the accurate of unemployment rate are difficult to access, however according to national bureau of statistics says that the rate of unemployment in Nigeria was at approximately 7.96 percent in 2020. Most youth in Nigeria today find difficult to get a job because of the high rate of human population and high rate of educational graduate.

Government serve as a killer of poverty, by implementing a policy in economy sector, but now look at what youth are passing through, poverty are now dominating in our societies day by day. Our leaders are giving room to hardship to eradicate in various communities because look at grassroot administrators (local government) are pocket vacancy, without allowing people to apply it, also most of Nigeria ministry Directors are slotting their own candidate when government give a room for mass recruitment.

In 2017 when i newly obtained my diploma certificate, then i heard about massive recruitment in state ministry of information which i applied the job base on my qualification , but behold till date i didn't hear from the body anymore rather heard that the government has slot their own candidate silently.

it is Nigeria you can easily see every year civil servant are retired from office but no room for mass employment. How government will  kill poverty, by so doing these and reduce the rate of unemployment by practicing this unethical act?

Most of Nigerian are crying out loud by calling president muhammodu buhari for not creating jobs for youth despite the fact he created some empowerment programme such as N-power, youth Investment programme etc which he gave number to be empowered, now how many youth are benefiting from those programme? The coordinators on this various initiative limited the range.

Now to get in touch with companies, Nigeria private companies managers are not sympathise, they see workers as a slave by not paying them their wages accordingly and also forslow of salaries can make workers resign out of the company, this can cause voluntary unemployment.  Not only talking about government and sole proprietor alone,  but how many individuals are seeking to get job, and how competent they are? Many Nigeria youth play a role of laziness Because how will you see youth moving up and down,  from one place to another begging food from one politician to another, involving their self in thuggery act, banditry and so forth,  an expecting such person to become self-employed? It is true that 80% of youth went to school, everybody obtain result but how many youth have good grade for the position needed? How many youth have hand work? The majority of our youth are depending on their parents, friends an relatives. Also you can easily see unemployed youth as a result of incompetency, because most of them don't take their job seriously. As a result of this he/she may be fired from office.

I recommend that government should restructure in the aspect of youth empowerment and its should often monitoring it cabinet for transparency delivery for an effective development. Also government should provide a room for more entrepreneurship programme.

Furthermore, the Chief Executive Officers in all enterprises should take their workers or staff as human being not slave and encouraging them to work hard towards their future endeavour.

While youth should stand firm avoid moving on the street to beg before putting food on your table,  plan ahead for yourself, there is an adage said "when you fail to plan,  you plan to fail" always think positive for the development of this nation also shun thuggery, banditry, vandalism and cultism.

May God help our nation
